Re-2 District E director recall petition ruled sufficient
A recall petition for Garfield County School District Re-2 Board of Education Director of District E Tony May has been determined sufficient by Garfield County Clerk and Recorder Jackie Harmon. No recall election can take place within 60 days of the Presidential Primary Election, which takes place this Tuesday, March 5.Harmon will announce a recall election when all state statutes are fulfilled (if a resignation is not tendered). She will then set the recall election date, which will be posted on the Garfield County website.
Re-2 recall election
Navy Seabees:
The first set is free to those who qualify, and $50 for a second set. This style is available to those who are an active or former member of the US Navy Construction Battalion (CBs).
Born to Be Wild:
The cost is $50, with an annual fee of $50 ($100 total for initial order). Funds generated from the purchase of this plate will fund programs and tools to minimize conflict and maximize understanding of wolves and other native carnivores.
Stegosaurus Fossil:
The cost is $25, and requires a $50 donation to Friends of Dinosaur Ridge, prior to your visit to the motor vehicle office. The plate was designed to raise awareness of Colorado’s phenomenal fossil history and encourage people to learn more about Colorado’s geological heritage by visiting sites around the state that feature dinosaur fossils.
In God We Trust:
The cost is $50, with no annual fee. Colorado is the 21st state to offer a plate to honor our nation’s motto.More information
Motor vehicle express kiosk coming soon
Garfield County is anticipating installation of a Colorado Motor Vehicle Express Kiosk, tentatively scheduled for summer 2024. The self-service motor vehicle kiosk will offer a fast and easy way to renew your vehicle registration, obtain a duplicate registration, replace your registration tab, and check the status of a title. Residents of any participating county in Colorado are able to utilize express kiosks, statewide. Location and installation dates will be announced soon!

The Clerk & Recorder’s office is responsible for voter registration, the conducting of all primary, general, and November coordinated elections, motor vehicle titling and registration, real estate and other recordings, marriage licenses, birth and death records, liquor licenses and recording the proceedings of the Board of County Commissioners.- Elections
